Art is a passion.  My paintings represent not what I see, but what I feel. I loved art as a child/teen and rediscovered my love for it as an adult. I started painting  in watercolor but find myself drawn to the qualities of mixed media.  I love the tactile nature of texturing a canvas.  I am an intuitive painter, letting the process and what develops guide where the painting needs to go.  Many times figures or animals emerge in a dream like fashion.  Living on the Pacific coast I am inspired by the sounds and moods of the ocean and find that many of my pieces reflect the color and action of it.  Most recently, I have discovered the joys of acrylic pouring with resin which adds an exciting compliment to my portfolio.
